Duck decoy - Antique Hand-Carved Solid Wood – Original...

Antique Hand-Carved Wooden Duck Decoy – Early 20th Century A beautifully sculpted wooden duck decoy of generous proportions, displaying elegant flowing lines, finely defined wings and a wonderfully rich, naturally aged brown patina. Believed to date from the first half of the 20th century, approximately 1930–1950, this attractive example reflects the traditional craftsmanship associated with vintage hunting decoys and folk art. Carved from what appears to be solid wood, the duck features a broad, elongated bill, distinctive yellow inset eyes and beautifully modelled wings. Its warm, deep brown finish highlights the natural grain of the wood, while the authentic-looking surface wear gives the piece remarkable character and visual appeal. Condition: Very good vintage condition, with age-related scratches, minor surface marks and natural wear consistent with its presumed age. The piece appears solid and well preserved, with no obvious structural damage visible. No major restorations are apparent from visual inspection. Dimensions: 37 × 16 × 12 cm. An exceptionally decorative piece, ideal for collectors of antique duck decoys, traditional hunting memorabilia, folk art and rustic interiors. A timeless wooden sculpture combining traditional craftsmanship, elegant proportions and a beautifully aged appearance. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
