Dunhill - shell 3S - No reserve price - Pipe - Briar

A classic Dunhill Shell Briar is offered, a characterful English smoking pipe with a beautiful dark-brown textured finish. The pipe features the distinctive deeply textured sandblast finish of the Dunhill Shell Briar series. The round bowl, straight shank, and the black mouthpiece with the characteristic white Dunhill spot give this piece a timeless look. The original brand stamping DUNHILL SHELL – MADE IN ENGLAND 3S is visible on the wooden shank. Features: * Brand: Dunhill * Series: Shell Briar * Origin: England * Material: Briar wood * Finish: Dark brown, sandblast * Mouthpiece: Black with white Dunhill spot * Era: Probably 1950–1970 * Year of production: Not exactly determined, there is one digit after England, but I cannot read it. Condition: The pipe is in used vintage condition with visible signs of aging and wear. The top edge of the bowl shows tobacco residue and discoloration. At the transition between the bowl and the wooden shank there is a surrounding, perceptible line. This may be the result of an older repair. There is also a small color difference as seen in the photos. There is no movement between the two lines. The photos are part of the description and provide a good view of the condition of this piece. An interesting older Dunhill for enthusiasts and collectors of classic English smoking pipes. Carefully packaged and shipped.
