This fine 17th-century cabinet portrait depicts Philip William, Prince of Orange (1554–1618), the eldest son of William the Silent. Executed in oil on a compact 24 x 19 cm oak panel, the work aligns with the precise painting style of the Dutch Golden Age and follows the famous courtly iconography of Michiel Jansz. van Mierevelt. The portrait stands as a clear testament to the painter's technical skill.
