"The Cat's Gaze" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work features a black cat lying on an intensely ornate surface. Its dark body occupies much of the composition and leads directly to the face, where the green, bright, and penetrating eyes become the main visual focal point. The deep black of the fur contrasts with a palette of intense reds, yellows, and blues that builds the background through large botanical motifs and decorative shapes. This chromatic opposition makes the animal's silhouette emerge with strength, while small blue and greenish reflections help model the volume of its body without abandoning the intensity of color. The brushwork is visible and direct, alternating broad areas of color with more precise details in the face, the whiskers, and especially the eyes. The simplification of forms and the expressive use of pure colors show echoes of Fauvism and the decorative tradition of Henri Matisse, where figure and ornamentation participate with equal importance in the composition. The result is a striking animal portrait, in which the cat's serenity contrasts with the energy of the background. "The Cat's Gaze" turns a private, everyday scene into a vibrant, enigmatic, and deeply decorative image. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist itself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipment. After payment is confirmed, a period of three days is required to prepare and send the piece. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum timeframe of up to ten business days.
