“Picking Poppies” is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work features a female figure surrounded by a lush lemon tree laden with fruit. The woman, dressed in an intensely ornamented blue garment and a wide yellow hat, appears integrated among the branches, while in the background a Mediterranean architecture with light façades is suggested. The composition is built around a strong presence of yellow, repeated in the lemons, the hat, and the architecture, contrasting with the deep blues of the clothing and the greens of the leaves. Small reddish, orange, and turquoise accents enrich the surface and provide rhythm to a scene dominated by light and vegetal abundance. The defined, expressive brushwork, the simplification of forms, and the use of intense colors show echoes of Fauvism. Color takes on a leading role and is used freely to reinforce the luminosity and the vital character of the scene. “Picking Poppies” combines portrait, nature, and Mediterranean landscape in an image of great chromatic strength, where the female figure seems to be part of the garden itself and its exuberance. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping. After payment is confirmed, a period of three days is required to prepare the piece and ship it. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
