E. García - Tren negro XL (No reserve)

"Tren negro" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work recreates an urban scene shrouded in fog, smoke, and an almost cinematic atmosphere. A large black locomotive advances toward the viewer while its frontal light, in an intense orange hue, emerges as the main source of illumination in the composition. To the left, the silhouette of a man accompanied by a dog introduces a discreet and mysterious human presence. The lamps suspended over the street, the blurred buildings, and the reflections on the wet pavement build an industrial city with an timeless appearance. The palette is dominated by grayish blues, blacks, and cold tones, contrasted with small flashes of yellow and orange. The soft brushwork and the progressive loss of definition toward the background reinforce the sense of depth, dampness, and fog. A work with strong narrative and evocative character, where the locomotive, the architecture, and the figures seem to form part of a story frozen in time. Particularly attractive for collectors interested in urban landscapes, railways, industrial scenes, and figurative painting with cinematic atmosphere.
