The Belle Époque was a carefree era, a celebration of beauty and life. The major Western cities reveled in luxury, one last time before the terrible wars. Thus, in retrospect, this era earned its name: La Belle Époque, the Beautiful Era. In keeping with the spirit of the times, exquisite pieces of jewellery were crafted in platinum and gold, set with diamonds, pearls, and select coloured gemstones.
