Emilio Lari - Marlene Dietrich - Just a Gigolo

This photo was taken in Paris in 1978 on the set of the film "Just a Gigolo" filmed in Berlin by David Hemmings, with David Bowie. The last posed photo of Dietrich before she died, after twenty years in which she had not posed for photographs. An interesting anecdote is that to shoot this film, since Dietrich absolutely did not want to set foot in Germany again, the entire crew was moved to Paris to film the scenes in which she appeared. The photo is digitally printed on Hahnemühle cotton rag photo paper, ultra smooth, 305gsm. Matting 4 cm. Archive inks guaranteed for 150 years. Photograph with the artist's original stamp and signature. Emilio Lari was born in Rome in 1939, a still photographer from 1960 to today. In 1960 his passion for photography led him to join the Publicity Office team of Luigi Pratuloni (then still photographer for Federico Fellini's film "La Dolce Vita"). Subsequently he was sent to London to photograph the new group, the Beatles, at the beginning of their fame. Master of photographic light, Emilio has worked on over 140 films. "Help" Richard Leister "Barbarella" Roger Vadim "Candy" Christian Marquand "The Godfather" Francis Ford Coppola "Raging Bull" Martin Scorsese "Once Upon a Time in America" Sergio Leone "Romeo and Juliet" Franco Zeffirelli "Ladyhawke" Richard Donner ...and many other films. Now he lives in the Roman countryside near some beautiful waterfalls, retracing through his indelible memories the incredible stories of the world cinema industry of those days.
