This older Japanese enamel sign is sober yet effectively designed: on a cream-white background there is a blue triangle and inside it, in the same cobalt blue color, the kanji character 普 ("fu"), which among other things means "general" or "common/universal" and was widely used in Japan as part of corporate or brand logos. The sign is square in shape and equipped with four mounting holes with the original nails/screws, one in each corner and an extra mounting point at the top of the triangle. The edge and the top show clear rusting and crazing in the enamel, which gives the piece an authentic, weathered appearance that suits its age. Shipping from the Netherlands.
