These volumes contain the major original issues (notably August and November 1907) including the famous and richly technical study dedicated to the Cunard Line’s legendary liners: the RMS Lusitania and its sister ship the RMS Mauretania. The work is distinguished by exceptional graphic documentation: a large number of extensive folding plates interleaved with the text (longitudinal section plans, Parsons turbine diagrams, boilers, deck plans) as well as beautiful period photographs showing the ships afloat and especially the interiors, furnished salons and luxurious woodwork of first class. Exceptional / As new. An extremely clean and sound copy for its age. No tears to report. The numerous folding technical plates are intact, very well preserved, with no major foxing or accidental creases. The period bindings are solid and firm.
