This painting presents a serene and charming landscape, where a clear path enters between trees and traditional-looking buildings. The path occupies the foreground and curves gently toward the center of the composition, inviting the viewer to follow it with the eye. Its course seems to lead to a small group of buildings, where warm roofs and a tower rising above the hamlet stand out. The scene conveys the sense of a tranquil place, removed from the bustle, where architecture and vegetation naturally coexist. In the foreground, the path is surrounded by grasses, shrubs and small clusters of plants extending on both sides. Its light tones, ranging from beiges and soft grays to pinkish hues, contrast with the intense greens of the nearby vegetation. The path is not drawn as a perfectly straight line: it opens up, changes direction and gradually disappears among the landscape elements. That curve adds depth and movement to the scene, as well as suggesting that the journey continues beyond what the image can show. The trees play an essential role in the composition. On the right, several tall, slender trunks with light bark marked by small shadows and dark spots create a kind of foreground vegetal frame for the view.
