Half-length male portrait, oil on oval panel, signed and dated bottom right R.S. 1914. Gentleman of the early 20th-century bourgeoisie, dark suit, white shirt and black tie, mustache in Belle Époque fashion. Neutral greenish background, oval format suitable for a drawing-room. Gold‑toned wooden frame with beadwork ornament and original burgundy cord. Era: 1914 (date in the painting). Style: realist portrait / Belle Époque, European school. Support: oil on oval panel (not canvas). Conditions Wear consistent with age. On the surface there are small pinhole holes (wood-borer/aging of the panel): they are not a defect from recent restoration, they certify the age of the support.
