Europhon - Adriano Rampoldi - Table lamp (2) - Idea - ABS - Idea Radio-Lamp

Beautiful pair of radio-lamps with integrated AM radio produced in the early 1970s by the famous Europhon of Milan, on the project of Adriano Rampoldi. The lot represents a unique opportunity for collectors and interior designers. It is not a single piece, but a symmetric pair (ideal as a bedside pair) presented in one of the rarest and most sought-after color variants, representative of the Space Age era: Petrol Blue. The cylindrical "bullet" design blends ambient lighting with vintage electronics. The radio controls (power, volume and tuning of the Medium Wave) are integrated hidden in the base slot via two grooved wheels. The light is of double intensity and is adjustable with the two front buttons. The radio, being AM, although functional, crackles and no longer picks up stations that no longer broadcast on that frequency. Features: - Manufacturer: Europhon Milano (Made in Italy) - Designer: Adriano Rampoldi - Model: Cylindrical Lamp-Radio - Base in molded ABS plastic, chromed plastic and/or metal coupling ring, upper diffuser in white opalescent Perspex/acrylic. Condition and aesthetics: Both lamps are in generally excellent cosmetic condition, as extensively documented by the images. The ABS plastics are in good condition. One has no cracks or melting marks, the other has some cracks but they do not affect the lamp’s operation at all. Some time-worn marks on the domes and a small heat deformation on one of them, caused by incorrect bulbs (all extensively documented by the attached photos). The central chromed ring is shiny and free of significant rust blooms. The lower selectors are original and intact, one of them has had the plug replaced over time. Be careful to use bulbs up to 30W and if using LED bulbs, verify they are dimmable otherwise the courtesy light will not work. A pair that is truly very beautiful and rare to find in these conditions and in this elegant color variant. Bulbs are not included. #Europhon, #AdrianoRampoldi, #SpaceAge, #Modernariato, #VintageLamp, #RadioLamp, #ItalianDesign, #70sDesign, #PopArt, #ABSPlastic, #Perspex, #MilanoDesign, #VintageRadio, #CollectibleRadio, #DesignCoppia, #BedsideLamps, #ArancioneSpaceAge, #RossoVintage, #LuceDesign, #PlasticDesign, #MadeInItaly, #CatawikiDesign, #InteriorDesign, #VintageElettronica, #AmbientLight, #RetroRadio, #AvantGarde, #Modernist, #MidCenturyModern, #RareSet,
