Silver Fallen Angel – Steampunk Winged Sculpture – Door Saladin Buru (India/Berlin) Founder of contemporary steampunk art This exceptional Silver Fallen Angel is a masterpiece by the Indian artist Saladin Buru, based in Berlin, internationally recognized as the founder of modern steampunk art. His work forms the bridge between classical spirituality and futuristic mechanics — a visual language beloved worldwide by collectors, museums and design enthusiasts. About the sculpture The angel is depicted in a moment of deep introspection: kneeling, head bowed, hand resting against the forehead. This posture embodies a powerful mix of vulnerability, reflection and inner struggle — a theme central to Buru’s oeuvre. What makes this work unique is the duality of the wings: one organic, with finely feathered structures and a lightly weathered silver finish; one mechanical, composed of gears, tubes, metal feathers, copper accents and steampunk elements meticulously worked out to the smallest detail. This combination symbolizes Buru’s vision of the modern human: a being that balances between soul and machine, between emotion and progress, between tradition and technology. The silvery resin, enriched with bronze and copper details, catches the light in subtle ways. The texture of the wings, the tension in the muscles and the meticulous mechanical components demonstrate a craftsmanship that only a few contemporary artists master. This statue is not just an angel — it is a poetic metaphor for the era we live in: an angel that does not fly, but thinks.
