When you pair the SC-Project Conic Inox full line with the SC-Project AFM (Air Fuel Module) on your Yamaha MT-09 2015, the motorcycle’s behavior changes drastically. Being a three-cylinder (CP3) Euro 3 engine, it responds incredibly well to these modifications. Here are the main improvements you would notice: Performance and Engine Response * Power and torque increase: The full exhaust optimizes gas exit, resulting in a gain of about 3 to 4 HP of maximum power. You’ll notice it especially in the mid and high RPM range. * Optimized injection (Thanks to AFM): By changing the full exhaust, the bike tends to run a bit lean (thin mixture). The AFM ECU modifies the air temperature sensor signal so the original ECU injects more fuel. This eliminates the annoying low-RPM surging and power dips. * More linear throttle response: The engine responds more immediately and smoothly when you open the throttle exiting corners. Additionally, the AFM significantly reduces excessive popping (retentions) when closing the throttle, protecting the valves. Dynamics and Riding * Greater agility: As noted, you remove 4.4 kg from the lower part of the bike. By reducing the sprung mass, you’ll notice the MT-09 is much quicker and lighter when changing direction through linked corners. * Less engine braking: With a more open system than stock, engine braking decreases slightly. The bike flows better when you release the throttle. Sound and Aesthetics * Pure triple-cylinder sound: The Conic exhaust transforms the factory flat whine into a deep, roaring, very sporty growl characteristic of Yamaha’s three cylinders. * Clean look: The stainless steel conical design gives a much more aggressive and streamlined race-inspired appearance than the huge stock silencer.
