Dating from around 1970, this exquisite ring immediately impresses with its three wonderful rubies. The precious stones are faceted and set side by side in a horizontal row, with the largest stone occupying the center. They seem to rest on a bed of white diamonds, as the diamonds, set a little lower accompany the rubies like a sparkling fringe. Delicate white gold bars lead to the finger and the flared ring band, which prevents the ring from twisting around the phalanx. Rings with three prominent gemstones have a very special meaning in the history of jewellery: they are called "trilogy rings" and they transport an idea that has to do with the love of a person: thus, the trinity of gemstones in a ring, stands for a shared temporality. Through the three gemstones are symbolically represented past, present and future and united with each other. The rubies are traditionally considered as stones of love, because their red sparkle reminds of the passion for another person and the diamonds as - according to legend - indestructible and thus eternally durable gemstones additionally stand for the duration of the bond. The choice of first-class rubies, the gemstones of love, and diamonds, symbolizing eternity, makes the ring a wonderful gift of love.
