Pair of walnut carved armchairs in Louis XV style Elegant pair of matching armchairs to the chairs of the same ensemble, in solid walnut carved. The contoured backs are topped with a carved and openwork decorative motif. The curved armrests, upholstered with padded armcaps, as well as the curved feet highlight their Louis XV style. The seats and backs are covered with fabric featuring floral and leafy motifs, alternating with burgundy stripes on a cream background, in shades of olive green, pink and gold. A gilt trim outlines the contours of the upholstery. Style: Louis XV Estimated period: late 19th century, circa 1880–1900. Materials: carved solid walnut and fabric.
