Felipe Urrutia (1995) is a 30-year-old Spanish artist. His artistic practice began at an early age, initially exploring Cubist figuration and moving through diverse styles until he consolidated a personal language that combines synthesis, intuition and emotion. Today, his body of work unfolds in pieces that oscillate between pared-down figuration and symbolic abstraction. With a fresh, untroubled brushstroke, Urrutia builds characters and abstract landscapes that seem to emerge from a territory between the real and the emotional. In them, forms dissolve to reveal the superposition of feelings that inhabit daily life. He believes in portraiture as a tool capable of condensing multiple truths at the same time, of capturing the visible and the invisible in a single gesture. He often combines pictorial imagery with written words, generating a dialogue that reinforces his expressive intention. This coexistence of text and painting is not about illustrating, but about expanding meaning, provoking resonances, and questioning the relationship between what is said and what is felt. He has exhibited in several countries, among them the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy, establishing an internationally growing trajectory.
