Fidenza Vetraria - Joe Colombo - Dinner set (6) - Arno...

Joe Colombo (attributed) | 6 Emerald-green Arno design boards. Six Italian design icons. Over six kilograms of emerald-green glass. And a healthy dose of seventies glamour. Some boards are meant to be eaten on. Others deserve almost their own exhibition. This splendid set of six emerald-green design boards sits exactly in between. A particularly lovely, complete set of Italian vintage glassware from the 60s/70s, with a geometric design attributed to the legendary Italian designer Joe Colombo (1930–1971). The design aligns with the iconic Arno style, also known in the vintage design world under the names Mina and Cabaret. And trust us, modesty was certainly not on the design table. Italian modernism with flair Joe Colombo ranks among the great names of twentieth-century Italian design. His futuristic designs, geometric forms and innovative approach to everyday objects made him an influential representative of Space Age design. These six boards precisely reflect that distinctive design style. The rounded, almost square shape, the elegant fan-shaped compartment layout and the noticeably thick glass rims create an intriguing geometric harmony. And then the glass. Intense emerald green, transparent and brilliant when light falls on it. Depending on the light, the color shifts from fresh lime to deep olive and emerald green. Each board is made of heavy Italian pressed glass and weighs no less than 1,032 grams. That means over six kilograms of glass for the complete set! The exceptional glass thickness gives the boards an imposing appearance and underscores the sculptural character of the design. Six times vintage Italian elegance What makes this set especially appealing is the combination of six identical pieces, the same intense green tint, and a particularly well-maintained vintage condition. All six have been barely used and are in excellent condition. A beautiful opportunity to add a complete, matching set to your vintage design collection in one go. Aperitif, fondue or a dinner with character? These boards are made for people who take their table just as seriously as their interior. The different compartments are ideal for Italian antipasti, tapas, canapés, olives, sushi, or an extended fondue or gourmet evening. Pair them with chrome candlesticks, white table linen and elegant glassware for a pronounced Mid-Century Modern look. Want a little more glamour? Add brass, gold-toned accessories and deep warm tones for a Hollywood Regency effect. And with the upcoming holidays in sight, these six Italian eye‑catchers form a brilliant base for a specially laid table.
