Dating stylistically to the early 20th century, approximately the 1920s–1930s, these decorative half dolls were traditionally used for pincushions, textile accessories and other fashionable boudoir items. Doll 1 – Black Hair, Orange Dress and Blue Cape An attractive larger porcelain half doll featuring glossy black waved hair, a pale green headscarf tied beneath the chin and a flowing pale blue cape over a vibrant orange dress. She holds a delicate bouquet of pink roses against her chest. Two examples bear FOREIGN markings and clearly identifiable impressed serial numbers. The third has a partially visible impressed number.
