This necklace is a wonderful sight. A total of 67 spheres made from Australian precious opal are strung in a graduated pattern. Against a milky white background, they show shimmering colour reflections in all the colours of the rainbow and change their appearance with every movement of their lucky wearer. The special thing about the opals used here is their exceptionally high quality with beautiful red reflections and green tones that flash with every movement. Faceted rock crystals are set between the opals as so-called "spacers". This keeps the opals a little apart from each other, which helps them to develop their play of colors even better. A silver clasp set with diamonds and another opal completes the necklace. Necklaces made of graduated spheres with rock crystal spacers were a fashion in the first decades of the 20th century. The Art Deco design language of the clasp also points to the same period: we therefore assume that the necklace was created in the 1920s. The magnificent Australian opals are a real feast for the eyes for all lovers of this special gemstone - which is why we highly recommend this necklace!
