A smart first UK edition of Herge's acclaimed Tintin adventure book, 'Tintin in Tibet', his own personal favourite. First UK edition. In the original quarter cloth binding, with pictorial laminated boards.Tintin in Tibet is the twentieth volume of The Adventures of Tintin by Belgian cartoonist Herge (Georges Prosper Remi). He considered it his favouriteTintin adventure and an emotional effort, as he created it while suffering from a personal conflict involving his marriage. The story follows young reporter Tintin - accompanied by Snowy, Captain Haddock and the Sherpa guide Tharkey - in search of his friend Chang Chong-Chen, who the authorities claim has died in a plane crash in theHimalayas.A widely acclaimed Tintin adventure, and generally considered to be Herge's finest work. In the original quarter cloth binding, with pictorial laminated boards. Externally, smart, with handling marks and rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are marginally toned, but generally clean, with the odd spot to the margins, not affecting illustrations. Very Good
