Dawlman and are to be sold at the sign of the Brazen Serpent in Pauls Church-yard, 1637, black-ruled, nicely margined copy, complete, collating: A⁴ B-²M⁸ ²N-²P⁴ ²Q-²X⁸ ²Y, of which ²M3 is transposed, some signatures misassigned, last gathering or so with inner-gutter worm trail, with minor loss to blank margin only, split in places with loose/loosening gatherings, contemporary blind-ruled calf over boards, upper-cover lettered in manuscript by a contemporary hand: Dr. Sanderson's 12 Sermons, flat spine split and with losses, red edges, 4to; Potter (Christopher, DD, Chaplain to his Majesty in Ordinary, and Provost of Queen's College, Oxford), Want of Charitie (sic) Justly charged, on All Such Romanists, as dare (without truth or modesty) affirme (sic), that Protestancie destroyeth (sic) Salvation. Or an answer to a late Popish Pamphlet intituled (sic) Charity mistaken &c., second edition, London: Printed by M.F. for John Clarke, and are to be sould (sic) by William Webb, 1634, black-ruled title, historiated and foliated initials, collating: [xxiv], 261, [1]pp (errata); i.e. A-R⁸ S⁷, O1 initial illuminated in scarlet, [L4] fore-margin with torn loss to notes, some minor chips in places, toning and occasional minor stains, contemporary sheep boards, spine defective, 8vo; and a defective late 17th c history of the kings and queens of England, anachronistic in-text wood engravings, contemporary blind-ruled sheep, split and disbound, 12mo, (4) Provenance: 1st: Rich:ᵈ Heely; title with contemporaneous ink MS ownership inscription. 2nd: Clement Winstanley (1739–1808), of Braunstone Hall, Leicestershire; ink MS inscription to verso endpaper.
