Florescent rare Spinal Specimen Under UV light Mineral...

Fluorescent Natural Purple Spinel Specimen on White Matrix – Badakhshan, Afghanistan An attractive natural Purple Spinel specimen from the renowned mines of Badakhshan, Afghanistan, weighing 101 grams and measuring approximately 47 × 38 × 32 mm. The specimen features a naturally grown purple Spinel crystal positioned prominently on top of a white crystalline matrix. The Spinel crystal has natural terminations and appears free from visible damage, preserving its natural crystal form. The white matrix consists of several smaller white crystals, creating an attractive contrast with the purple Spinel. One of the most interesting features of this specimen is its fluorescence under UV light. As shown in the photographs, the purple Spinel changes to a light red color under UV illumination, adding a special characteristic to this already appealing mineral specimen. The specimen is self-standing and requires no additional support for display. Its compact size, contrasting colors, natural crystal formation, and UV-reactive appearance make it an excellent addition to a mineral collection. Fluorescent Spinel specimens are particularly appealing to collectors who appreciate unusual mineral properties. This piece combines the natural beauty of purple Spinel with an attractive white crystalline matrix and a fascinating fluorescent response, making it a distinctive specimen for collection and display.
