KEY HIGHLIGHTS • 1965 restored model with original Acadian Blue tint • V8 289 cu in (4.7 L) engine paired with automatic C4 transmission • Over €26,000 in maintenance and restoration invoices over the past two years • French collectible registration and valid technical inspection HISTORY/PRESENTATION Launched in spring 1964, the Ford Mustang defined the American automotive landscape by creating the “pony cars” category. This 1965 2-door coupe benefits from an almost complete restoration. The vehicle has been closely tracked and maintained with the greatest care, representing a reliable example, ready to drive or to be displayed. BODY/PAINT: • Complete exterior restoration with full stripping of the body • Full repaint in its original Acadian Blue shade • Replacement of all exterior seals and chrome elements • Partially refurbished chassis, presented as very clean and sound INTERIOR • Interior completely dismantled and rebuilt to a four-seat configuration • New carpeting, headliner, rear shelf, and dashboard top • Instrument cluster repaired with replacement bulbs and the installation of a sound system • Repair of various in-cabin mechanisms • Note: absence of heating and air conditioning (to be provided) MECHANICS • 289 cu in (4.7 L) V8 engine developing 200 hp with double carburetor and 3-speed C4 automatic transmission • Engine and transmission removed for a complete overhaul (new engine gaskets, motor mounts and fluids, rear axle revision) • Adjustments performed: hydraulic lifters, carburetor richening, ignition timing advance, cylinder check on flywheel side • Power steering (seal leak repaired at pump pressure outlet), front disc brakes, new rear brake kit and bleeding performed • Rear suspension revised with replacement leaf springs and shock absorbers • Cooling system revised (disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and radiator purge) • Fuel tank and fuel gauge restored; ignition switch replaced with system alignment DOCUMENTS: • French collectible registration certificate • Valid technical inspection • Important set of invoices available covering several years, including more than €26,000 in the last two years It is recommended to inspect the vehicle before placing an offer to avoid disappointment.
