Fortis Gents Vintage Wristwatch – circa 1960 A stylish Fortis vintage wristwatch dating from around 1960, featuring a beautifully preserved original silver dial and classic mid-century design. The watch is powered by a 17-jewel manual-winding mechanical movement. The movement runs well and keeps time. Service history is unknown. The case measures approximately 33 mm in diameter, or 35 mm including the crown. The case is gold plated and remains in lovely condition, with no noticeable scratches. It has a stainless steel case back. The original signed silver dial is in beautiful original condition, with elegant raised hour markers and original hands. Very stylish and minimalistic with the no-date The crystal has some small superficial scratches, which could easily be polished out if desired. The watch comes on its vintage used crocodile leather strap, which adds plenty of character and complements the classic appearance of the watch. About Fortis: Founded in Switzerland in 1912, Fortis is a historic Swiss watch brand known for its technical innovation. The company produced the Harwood in 1926, widely recognised as the first serially produced automatic wristwatch, and later became particularly known for its aviation and space watches.
