Fr. 80. 1880 $5 Legal Tender Note. PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58

Fr. 80. 1880 $5 Legal Tender Note. PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58 EPQ. Treasurer Daniel N. Morgan Courtesy Autograph. Another example of this scarce signature combination from the 1890s that was current from 1893 to 1897 during the second non-consecutive term of President Grover Cleveland. This example features the penned Courtesy Autograph of Treasurer Daniel N. Morgan who served as Treasurer during that period. Morgan's penned Courtesy Autograph sits just above its engraved counterparts and in the company of many impressive qualities such as the contrast fostered by the red-blue overprint arrayed against the engraved elements of the design such as Henry Gulger's iconic vignette known as The Pioneer Family in reference material. Together these elements should see this note to a respectable realization at auction befitting that status. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
