ew, black with a silver leaf. Direct sale from the author with free shipping! This work, a symbol of freedom and equality, captures the spirit of the contemporary woman. The Wayfarer is the life-size portrait of a traveler of our times: a woman with bright eyes and an intense gaze, made even deeper by metal pupils, a symbol of inner strength. The Wayfarer is a woman who walks long distances, often by choice or necessity, and who undertakes a journey without a fixed or predefined destination. She is a symbolic figure that evokes the idea of exploration, discovery, and continuous movement, both physical and spiritual. In the context of the sculpture The Wayfarer, the title emphasizes the journey of the modern woman: a path not only geographical but existential, made of challenges, achievements, and transformations, reflecting the search for freedom, identity, and equality. The Wayfarer thus becomes a universal archetype of female strength, representing all women in their path toward self-determination and personal growth. The sculpture presents an iconic detail: on the lips is engraved the phrase "We should all be feminists" ("Dovremmo essere tutti feministi"), which becomes a visual manifesto for gender and equality issues. The authors, in line with the theme addressed in their more recent works, such as The Popess, emphasize gender dynamics and the challenges to dismantle patriarchy. The figure is cloaked in a hood decorated with the symbol of the vulva, almost a brooch among the hair, a symbol of freedom of choice, while the metallic-toned makeup represents the strength and determination of women. A tribute to those who, despite the opportunities offered by more advanced societies, still have to fight to assert themselves in leadership and top roles and to win spaces of respect and recognition, even economically. Materials and sustainability This sculpture is a unique piece, produced in a numbered edition of 8 specimens, with 4 artist’s proofs. As with all Francioni Mastromarino works, sustainability is at the heart of the creative process: innovative materials such as rice husk and scraps of cardboard are worked with biological mortars to create a compact and durable structure. Bronze pupils and a stainless steel hook guarantee durability and versatility, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The Wayfarer is not just a sculpture, but a symbol and an altar to the strength and complexity of being a woman today. The sculpture is the result of the synergy of two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a couple in art and love who have worked together for about 20 years in their Pietrasanta, Tuscany studio. The chosen materials minimize pollution, as does the use of wood shavings as filler for shipping. The sculpture is carefully packaged in a very sturdy box and shipped by express courier. All our collectors are very satisfied with the sturdiness of our packaging. With our sculptures we are present in private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, USA, Switzerland, Romania, United Kingdom, Poland and Italy. Don’t miss this opportunity to add this unique piece to your entirely made-in-Italy collection. For shipments outside the European Union, the sculpture will be accompanied by a certificate of free export for contemporary art works, which will be stamped and validated by the Export Office of the Fine Arts Superintendence of Florence, part of the Ministry of Culture. Regarding shipments to Germany, we are registered with the German LUCID register to guarantee proper disposal of packaging. We commit to complying with environmental regulations and contributing to reducing environmental impact. Whether the sculpture is shipped outside the European Union or to Germany, we ensure to provide all necessary documents and to fulfill the required procedures to guarantee safe and legal delivery. The sculpture is packaged with care in a very sturdy recyclable cardboard box, protected by paper and wood shavings and paper to minimize the polluting materials of the packaging. Our collectors are very satisfied with the robustness of our packaging. Free pickup at the authors’ studio in Pietrasanta (Lucca) - Tuscany, Italy
