The dominant presence of the tree and the intensity of ochres, purples, yellows and greens recall the chromatic investigations of Post-Impressionism and the Fauvist landscape artists of the 20th century. ㅤ Francisco Sánchez, an artist active during the 20th century, develops in this work an intensely chromatic interpretation of the landscape. His language here is characterized by spontaneous brushwork, visible material, and the expressive transformation of natural colors. ㅤ Landscape dominated by a large naked tree whose branching structure crops up against a clear sky.
