Elegant and full of personality, Fraraccio’s Sfilato Old School is a folding knife that pays homage to the great Italian cutlery tradition, reinterpreting the classic lines of the Sfilato with premium materials and a decidedly vintage aesthetic. Made by the historic Fraraccio knifemaking company of Frosolone, Molise, a region known for its centuries-old tradition of blade production, this model expresses a taste for authentic objects built to last. The charm of hammered brass The most distinctive element of this knife is undoubtedly its splendid handle, entirely brass, enhanced by a special surface treatment done by hammering. The dense geometric pattern, obtained through a sequence of precise hammering, creates a refined play of light and reflections, giving the knife a sophisticated appearance and an unmistakable character. The warm, golden tone of brass recalls old pocket knives, personal tools of a by-gone era and accessories that accompanied daily life for past generations. Over the years, brass can develop a natural surface patina, a feature that helps make each piece even more personal and fascinating. Blade in 420 stainless steel The blade, 9 cm long, is made of 420 stainless steel, a material appreciated in traditional knifemaking for good corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance. The satin finish highlights the clean lines of the blade, which features the distinctive decorative “Old School” mark, perfectly aligned with the model’s aesthetic philosophy. The harmonious silhouette and balanced proportions recall the design of classic Italian folding knives. A tribute to Frosolone’s tradition Frosolone, in the heart of Molise, represents one of the most important historic centers of Italian knifemaking, with manufacturing traditions handed down through generations. The Sfilato Old School fits this heritage ideally, celebrating a taste for traditional shapes, careful detailing, and the use of materials with timeless charm. With a total length of 21 cm, this knife presents medium dimensions but a strong visual presence, thanks especially to the distinctive handle work. A piece with distinctive character The Sfilato Old School is not just a folding knife, but also an interesting collectible, capable of evoking the atmosphere of ancient Italian knife shops. The combination of gold-brass hammered handle, satin blade, and traditional design gives this model sober, authentic, and timeless elegance. A particularly interesting piece for collectors of Italian regional knives, for enthusiasts of Frosolone’s tradition, and for those seeking items with refined vintage taste. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow appreciation of the handle’s special workmanship and the knife’s finishes.
