French Directoire mahogany and gilt brass mounted mantel clock, the 5.5" circular convex enamel dial with pierced gilt hands, signed Alexandre á Paris, within a finely engraved foliate surround, the twin train movement with outside countwheel striking the half hours and hours on a bell, brass and steel compensated gridiron sunburst pendulum, the rectangular four glass case with overhanging top, with gilt-brass borders on a plinth base raised upon gilt brass turned feet, 17.25" high (with pendulum, lacking bezel glass)
