This monumental historical work examines European geopolitical tensions in depth through two large dynastic axes. The rivalry with the House of Aragon: concerns primarily the clashes at the end of the Middle Ages and the early Italian Wars (conflicts around the kingdoms of Naples and Sicily). The rivalry with the House of Austria: analyzes the long face-off between the kings of France (Valois then Bourbons) and the Habsburgs (wars against Charles V, the Thirty Years’ War, up to the accession of the Bourbons to the throne of Spain). Pleasant copy.
