Gerhart Bergmann (1922–2007) - Aalborg

Gerhart Bergmann (1922–2007) – Aalborg / Hummerstillleben – Color Etching, Proof Print, hand-signed, probably 1988 Large-format original color etching by Gerhart Bergmann featuring a decorative still life with lobster, lime, glass and a bottle of Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit. There are indications that this was a commissioned work for Aalborg Akvavit. At the bottom left, pencil-marked as a “Probedruck” (proof print); at the bottom right, hand-signed “G. Bergmann.” Probably an commissioned work from the 1980s. Color etching, likely with aquatint, on strong handmade paper. Distinct plate line and wide, untrimmed handmade margins, the motif not centered. Good age-appropriate condition with light signs of storage and use as well as occasional small stains. Unframed. The photos are part of the condition description.
