In the manner of Johann Georg Klett, rectangular, the cover and base set with panels of red agate carved on the cover with a possible depiction of Archimedes' Heat Rays , and the underside with large entwined palm leaves, the sides waisted, mounted à jour within gold mounts chased with undulating reeding, the thumbpiece formed of a rose, unmarked Size/ Dimensions: 8.2 cm. (3 ¼ in.) long Gross weight : 185.5 gr. (5 oz. 19 dwt.)
