Exclusive Goum India rug – Cashmere silk – Silk on silk – 1960-1970 We present an exclusive Goum India rug, completely handmade with pure Cashmere silk on silk. This is a piece of exceptional quality, extremely fine, compact and taut, with work of great precision and rich detail. Period: 1960-1970 Origin: India Material: 100% pure silk – silk on silk Measurements: 169 × 101 cm Density: approx. 10x10 knots per cm², equivalent to around 1,000,000 knots per m² Its high knot density provides extraordinary definition to the design and demonstrates the high level of craftsmanship of this piece. The rug is in very good condition considering its age. It has no breaks, severe stains, or damages that would require restoration. We only recommend professional cleaning and a good combing/combing-out, which will help refresh the rug and further enhance its colors and the characteristic natural sheen of the silk. It stands out for its elegant turquoise blue field, its central medallion, and its complex floral borders, executed with great fineness. Please carefully observe all photographs, as they are an essential part of the description and allow you to appreciate the condition, fineness, colors, and exceptional quality of this rug.
