Gien - Plate (23) - chenonceaux - Earthenware

Magnificent and elegant 23-piece table service in fine porcelain from the famous French manufacturer Gien, model "Chenonceaux". This refined vintage model is distinguished by its white ribbed spiral-relief base, its delicate spring-like floral decoration of pink roses (apple blossoms) with foliage, and its fine gold rim on the edge which adds a very chic touch. The service consists of 23 pieces: • 16 Dinner Plates • 2 oval serving platters • 2 large round service platters • 1 Tart/Cake plate (with integrated handles) • 1 Large serving bowl • 1 Small dessert/mignardise plate Details & Condition: • Origin: France (Stamped "Gien France Chenonceaux" on the back of each piece). • Era: Circa 1950 - 1960. • Overall condition: The set is in good overall condition. It naturally shows some signs of normal use given its age (notably micro-scratches on the surface and slight fading of the gilding on certain pieces), which adds to its charm and testifies to its authenticity. The colors of the floral motifs remain very fresh. No major accidents to report. Extremely careful shipping with double cardboard packaging and appropriate protections (bubble wrap and rigid padding) to ensure safe arrival without breakage.
