This museum-worthy collectible piece of French jewelry design comes from the hand of the renowned Parisian designer Maryse Blanchard, who in the 1950s to 1970s crafted exquisite costume jewelry for leading French Haute-Couture houses. Signed pieces from this house are very rarely found on the market and are regarded by collectors as absolute rarities. The three-row necklace captivates with its multi-layered composition of snow-white glass-wax pearls and striking green marbleized glass beads, each of which is set by fine, gold-plated filigree bead caps. As a sumptuous centerpiece serves the floral-designed jewelry clasp, richly adorned with green navette glass stones, a central cabochon, and sparkling rhinestones in brilliant-cut. The clasp bears on the back the clear designer stamp Maryse Blanchard. The piece presents in an excellent top condition, with the gilding beautifully preserved, all stones complete, and the push clasp closes flawlessly.
