Alla auktioner / Mattor & Textilier / Gold upholstery fabric with floral motifs in classical...
This refined upholstery fabric stands out for its warm golden base that is bright and luminous, enriched by an elaborate classic-style floral pattern. The satin surface, elegantly gleaming, enhances the raised jacquard designs that depict flowers with realistic shapes, such as tulips, peonies, and delicate buds. The predominant tones are ruby red, olive green, powder blue, and beige, skillfully woven together to create a harmonious and sophisticated effect. Each flower seems to emerge from the golden background with painterly precision, thanks to the weaving that affords depth and relief. The fabric recalls the opulence of noble residences of the 19th century, with a clear inspiration from Italian and French silks used in bourgeois salons and aristocratic palaces. Possible uses This fabric is ideal for: - classic or eclectic-style upholstered armchairs and sofas - grand curtains in elegant settings - upholstered bed heads - decorative wall panels - sophisticated home cushions Its robust yet flexible structure makes it suitable for both domestic decor and contract contexts, such as boutique hotels, historic residences, or reception rooms. During the restoration of a historic villa in Tuscany, a upholsterer artisan recalled finding in an attic a roll of fabric very similar to this one, carefully preserved in an antique chest. The fabric, destined for a room that was never completed due to the outbreak of World War II, had been chosen by the lady of the house inspired by a trip to Versailles. Today, fabrics like this manage to carry on that same aesthetic heritage, giving interiors a timeless charm. Dimensions: 2.50 x 2.80 m CAUTION! (Color may vary depending on lighting and the devices on which photos are viewed) Care and Maintenance: To preserve the beauty and quality of your precious fabric over time, it is important to follow some simple care instructions: Washing: It is recommended to hand wash the fabric or machine wash on a delicate cycle at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Use a mild detergent free of aggressive bleaching agents to preserve the vibrant colors. Drying: Avoid the tumble dryer to prevent compromising the fibers. Lay the fabric flat to dry, avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure, which could cause colors to fade. Ironing: Iron the fabric at a low temperature, preferably with a cotton cloth over it, to avoid direct contact with the iron and maintain the fabric surface immaculate. Professional cleaning: If used for furniture coverings or large surfaces, professional dry cleaning is advised for safer and more durable maintenance. Following these simple guidelines, your fabric will retain its beauty and integrity over time, continuing to enhance your spaces with class and refinement.
