Goyard – Old travel trunk in Goyardine canvas – France – First half of the 20th century Description Antique Goyard travel trunk, made in the characteristic Goyardine canvas with its emblematic chevron motif. The piece preserves various E. Goyard marks visible on the canvas. It features a rigid structure with wooden reinforcements, metal hardware, locks marked “SURETÉ,” and a leather handle. On the front, the initials “J.C.A.” are painted in red, a distinctive detail of personalized travel trunks of the period. The interior retains its original light-toned textile lining, as well as the internal securing straps. Approximate dimensions: 60.5 × 38 × 19.5 cm. Condition: Good overall condition considering its age and use. It shows normal signs of the passage of time: wear and superficial losses in some areas of the Goyardine canvas, marks and scuffs on the wood reinforcements, patina on the hardware, and wear on the leather handle. The interior shows some stains and signs of use. The photographs are part of the description and show in detail the condition. An attractive vintage Goyard trunk, with a lovely patina and character, interesting for both collectors of historical luggage and for decoration.
