Frankreich, Ende 19. / Anfang 20. Jahrhundert. Bronze, feuervergoldet und dunkel patiniert. Hoher, repräsentativer Tischkandelaber auf gestuftem, kanneliertem Sockel aus dunkel patinierter Bronze. Der ansteigende Fuß sowie der Nodus sind reich verziert mit reliefiertem Akanthusblattwerk und Palmettenfriesen in feiner Feuervergoldung. Der kannelierte Schaft wird von einer korinthisch inspirierten Kapitellform abgeschlossen. Daraus erwachsen sechs geschwungene, füllhornartig ausgeformte Leuchterarme mit godronierten Tüllen und Tropfschalen, geordnet um ein zentrales, von einem Pinienzapfen bekröntes Finale. Das Wechselspiel zwischen der tiefen, dunklen Patinierung des Schafts und den glänzenden, feinziselierte Vergoldungen verleiht dem Objekt eine erhabene neoklassizistische Eleganz. Höhe: 85 cm. Sehr guter, altersgemäß erhaltener Zustand. Patina und Vergoldung stellenweise leicht berieben, geringe Wachsspuren in den Tüllen. Die Montierung auf der Unterseite mit originaler Gewindestange und Vierkantmutter erhalten. | Large Six-Light Empire Style Candelabrum France, late 19th / early 20th century. Fire-gilded and dark-patinated bronze. A large and impressive table candelabrum raised on a stepped, fluted pedestal of dark-patinated bronze. The spreading foot and baluster knop are richly decorated with finely chased fire-gilded acanthus leaves and palmette friezes. The fluted shaft is surmounted by a Corinthian-inspired capital, from which issue six gracefully scrolling cornucopia-form candle arms fitted with gadrooned nozzles and matching drip pans, arranged around a central finial crowned by a pinecone. The striking contrast between the deep dark patination of the shaft and the brilliant, finely chased fire-gilded ornamentation lends the piece a refined and stately Neoclassical elegance, characteristic of the Empire style. Height: 85 cm. Very good condition, consistent with age. Minor rubbing to the patina and gilding in places, with slight traces of candle wax inside the sockets. The underside retains its original mounting assembly with threaded rod and square nut. SHIPPING TO THE USA MUST BE ARRANGED BY THE BUYER.
