White enamel dial with Roman numerals and diamond-set markers. Gold hands set with diamonds. Master watchmaker from 1762, he established his workshop on the Quai des Orfèvres and produced and retailed high-quality watches during the second half of the 18th century. His watches are generally signed “Gudin à Paris”, sometimes accompanied by an individual movement number. He was particularly known for finely executed watches and complicated timepieces intended for the Parisian luxury market.
