This prestigious 1/18 scale miniature honors the excellence of Spanish artisan GUILOY, renowned for the robustness and fidelity of its heavy metal (Die-Cast) bodies. AN EXCEPTIONAL PRESERVATION STATE: "NEW OLD STOCK": This model has never left its box, strictly aside from the present photo session required for the listing. It is a product never displayed, never handled, kept in absolute dust-free, direct-light-free (no discoloration) conditions and stored rigorously in a healthy environment (100% non-smoking). The original packaging carton, the display stand, and the clear plastic display case (Rhodoïd) are in pristine, flawless, crack-free, scratch-free, or dent-free condition. The factory internal mounts keeping the car on the stand are intact and original. An authentically "Mint in Box" specimen. DOUBLE RARITY: MODEL & COLOR CROSS-CHASSIS • The Model: While Guiloy’s Originals Miniatures line made a strong impression, the Ferrari Mythos remains one of their most sculptural and sought-after 1/18 creations. • The Color (Ultra-Rare): While the vast majority of produced units sport the traditional Rosso Corsa red (Ref. 67511), this lot features the very exclusive Metallic Yellow variant (Ref. 67538). A confidential catalogue edition by the manufacturer, almost impossible to find today on the second-hand market in this original condition. TECHNICAL DETAILS & LEGENDARY HISTORY The story of the real car (Concept Car 1989): World premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 1989, the Ferrari Mythos is a radical creation by master coachbuilder Pininfarina (designed under the direction of Lorenzo Ramaciotti). Conceived as a pure, futuristic open-top barchetta without a roof or side windows, it is built entirely on the chassis and mechanics of the iconic Ferrari Testarossa. A true aerodynamic laboratory with its perfect wedge lines and movable appendages (active rear wing rising up to 30 cm), the Mythos served as a direct stylistic manifesto for the development of the future Ferrari F50. Only 3 to 4 extremely exclusive real units left the factory, notably for the Sultan of Brunei. The miniature’s technical data: Guiloy has done a superb reproduction to faithfully reproduce the presence of this mechanical monster: • Propulsion Group: Faithful under the hood reproduction of the legendary Flat-12 engine (12 horizontally opposed cylinders, 4.9 liters, type F113B) developing 390 horsepower on the real car. The engine block, exhaust manifolds, and rear cooling system inspired by the Testarossa are meticulously modeled. • Openings & Details: Functional doors opening to a minimalist two-tone cockpit typical of 80s/90s race prototypes, movable steering wheel, OZ Racing wheel nuts-specific wheels, and a movable rear wing.
