Brand: Hamilton Model: Khaki Mechanical Reference Number: H694190 Movement: Manual wind ETA 2804-2, 17 jewels Dial: Matte black with white numerals, inner 24-hour track, luminous markers, and date at 3 o'clock Case Size: 38mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless steel Production Year: 2010s Condition: Excellent used condition. Timegrapher: -15-18s/day, performing remarkably well. Dial and Hands The matte black dial exemplifies a highly legible field watch design, prioritizing immediate readability. It features crisp white printed numerals for the primary hours, paired with a traditional inner 24-hour track. Luminous triangle hour markers provide clear visibility, accompanied by a practical date window positioned at 3 o'clock. Classic military syringe hands in white retain their intact luminous fill, complemented by an arrow-tipped seconds hand featuring its own luminous plot. Case and Crystal The 38mm stainless steel case embraces a utilitarian military style, defined by a matte bead-blasted finish designed to reduce glare. The sharp case geometry is well-preserved, showing no significant dents or deep scratches. Drilled lugs offer convenient and quick strap changes, while the prominent coin-edge crown, signed with the Hamilton "H", remains in excellent condition. A flat sapphire crystal protects the dial, remaining entirely clear with no visible scratches or chips. Movement Inside beats the manual wind ETA caliber 2804-2, a 17-jewel Swiss movement. The cleanly finished plates and bridges display no visible corrosion or damage, and the going train is clearly visible. The movement is engraved with the Hamilton signature alongside its jewel count and caliber designation. It features a three-position stem for winding, time setting, and date setting. The timegrapher records a rate of -15-18s/day. Exhibiting remarkable accuracy and consistency, performing brilliantly for a mechanical timepiece. Strap The watch is fitted with a casual black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. The material shows moderate creasing from use. Condition Excellent used condition. The bead-blasted case retains its sharp lines and matte finish, while the dial, luminous elements, and sapphire crystal are remarkably clean. The leather strap presents moderate wear. The manual wind movement is exceptionally clean and, supported by the timegrapher results, is operating with strong precision. Dimensions The case measures 38mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This Khaki Mechanical offers an outstanding balance of form and function. With its crisp dial layout, durable sapphire crystal, and reliable ETA 2804-2 manual wind movement, it is a highly capable and versatile daily wearer for any mechanical watch enthusiast. History The Hamilton Khaki Mechanical line draws direct inspiration from the robust field watches issued to military personnel in the mid-twentieth century. Designed for uncompromising legibility and durability, this modern iteration features a 38mm case with a bead-blasted matte finish specifically chosen to reduce glare. Powered by the dependable ETA 2804-2, it continues the tradition of straightforward, purpose-built mechanical timepieces favored by collectors.
