The fan is kept open inside a scenographic display case shaped with a gilded frame, ornamental cresting and a burgundy background, which greatly enhances its display. Open fan dimensions: about 50 × 28 cm Case dimensions: about 77.5 × 50 cm Provenance: France Estimated period: 1850–1900 Mounting: mother-of-pearl Technique: hand painting The object shows natural signs of time and traces of use compatible with its age, visible in the photographs. The images constitute an integral part of the description and document the state of conservation accurately. A refined collectible item with a great decorative impact, particularly interesting for the quality of the painting and of the mother-of-pearl workmanship. A particularly careful and protective packaging will be prepared, suitable for the delicacy of the fan and the case.
