Large antique ostrich feather fan with floral decoration and commemorative inscription – Belle Époque Elegant and scenic antique ceremony fan, made with large natural ivory-colored feathers, presumably ostrich, arranged to form a wide soft and fluffy surface. The frame features rich embossed decoration with floral motifs, leaves, ornate scrolls and a putto figure, in keeping with Belle Époque decorative taste. Particularly interesting is the presence of a commemorative ribbon integrated into the decoration, bearing an inscription in Italian that appears to read “Ricordo di Settembre 1890”. The fan is accompanied by a box lined with decorative paper with small red motifs on a light background. A refined antique accessory, testimony to female fashion and ceremonial objects between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, particularly interesting for collectors of historical accessories, costume and antique fashion.
