No. 10.218 of the Royal Library of Brussels served as the basis for this edition, which contains some magnificent miniatures, of exceptional beauty, that give a very precise idea of how hunting was done 600 years ago. The book, attributed to the Norman nobleman Henry de Ferrières, was created for Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, and its miniatures are by Girart de Roussillon and his workshop. And printed in double column, in color, with numerous initials and punctuation marks in bright gold on a blue and red background, and its numerous and splendid color miniatures, framed in gold leaf, stand out for showing us hunting scenes with dogs and birds, illustrating certain ways of hunting.
