Offered is a used vintage Heuer pocket/board-mounted rally stopwatch timer, model I.F.R., similar to the “Monte Carlo,” for the dashboard. The Heuer I.F.R. stopwatch (often reference 542 838) is a rare mechanical rally stopwatch originally developed for timekeeping in motorsport. It features a lightweight, durable bakelite or plastic case (approximately 57 mm diameter) and a hand-wound movement. The I.F.R. series was a special edition for amateur racing drivers. Light signs of use can be found on the back and on the glass. The luminous paint on the hands has been renewed. The watch is in very good condition and works flawlessly. Still, a service could not hurt. It is a beautiful piece of history that can still be used well today. A great addition to your classic car.
