A rare opportunity for the top-automobilia collector. This Heuer Reference 550/22" stopwatch from 1969 is not just a timekeeping instrument; it is an icon from the most legendary era of motorsport. The link with Steve McQueen & Le Mans This specific model, prominently featured in the Heuer catalog of 1969, stems directly from the period when Heuer was the official partner of Steve McQueen's Solar Productions during the filming of the cult movie Le Mans. While McQueen wore the Monaco on his wrist, the pit crew trusted Heuer rattrapante stopwatches for the precision timing of lap times for the Porsche 917s and Ferrari 512s. Such a instrument is indispensable in any collection that wants to breathe the ambiance of the Mulsanne Straight.
