Spectacular Error $500 in 65-EPQ HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. 500 Dollars, 1.1.1994. P-204a. KNB90d. Printed Fold Error. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. A striking $500 with a large printed fold error on the upper margin. The note was scrunched up during the cutting process and was fully printed in this state. The note can therefore be opened up like an accordion to reveal large areas of white paper. Fold over errors are usually encountered from time to time but are usually small. Such large areas are exceedingly rare, never mind in this virtually perfect gem grade. A pinnacle item for the error note enthusiast! Estimate: $4,000 - $7,000.
