Hungry Pelican - Gabriele Esau

Hungry Pelican by Gabriele Esau Painting 35.4 x 19.7 :: The title of the painting ‘The hungry pelican’ already refers to a water bird in search of food. Instead of real fish however it only finds two specimens made of plastic and will therefore remain hungry. The work draws attention to the current situation of our waters which are increasingly polluted with plastic. The fish subtly symbolise the plastic waste in the waters. This is an oilpainting on linen. :: Type: Painting Medium: Oil Style: Surrealism Subject: Birds Width: 35.4 Height: 19.7 Depth: 0.8 Weight: 5.4 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
